Awashish Outdoor Adventures is an outfitter which has been welcoming nature enthusiasts since 2000. We offer fishing excursions, which are overseen by experienced First Nations guides. These excursions take place North of the Mistissini Cree community, on the majestic Rupert River.

Awashish Outdoor Adventures is a family-run business. The Awashish are a First Nations Cree family and, for four generations, have lived off the territory’s natural resources, such as fishing, hunting, and trapping. The estate’s heirs, past and present, have strived to preserve the wild beauty and purity of their natural environment.

Most of our family members were born and raised on our estate. They have regularly performed a variety of traditional Native activities, such as fishing, hunting, and trapping. For generations, members of the Awashish family and our adventure guides have been navigating up and down the Rupert River. We know the river so well, that it no longer holds any secrets for us. Thus, with the help of our guides, your chances of success are greatly increased and your personal safety is assured throughout your trip.

At Awashish Outdoor Adventures, fishing season ranges from June to September. Our guests can choose between the American and European plans, which both include the professional assistance of our experimented First Nations guides.
